#GiveAHoot Annual Day of Giving/ OWL RUN 5K

April 10-11, 2019

Give A Hoot
Annual Day of Giving

What is a virtual race?

A virtual race can be run (or walked!) anytime and anywhere, even indoors on a treadmill.

How does a virtual race work?

Simply register for our program, complete the distance anytime and anywhere you desire (even on a treadmill!), and upload your finish time to our website. Whether you run/walk alone or with a group, it counts!

Can anyone participate?

Yes! Young or old, fast or slow – we encourage participants of all ages and ability levels.

Can I walk?

We are calling these events “runs,” but walkers are certainly welcome!

How do I track my distance and time my run?

Unless you are running the timed race at Westfield State University on Sunday, April 7, 2019, we will accept results on the honor system, so you can track your distance and time however you like. The most accurate way to do this is by using a Running GPS watch, but there are also several free smartphone apps available.

Where do I upload my results?

Right HERE. You can also upload a race photo if you’d like one included with your results and in our Finisher Photos gallery for that race.

How much of each registration fee goes to Westfield State University’s #GiveAHoot Annual Day of Giving?

We created the OWL RUN 5K to support our annual day of giving, #GiveAHoot. Your $40 registration fee includes your shirt, bib and a $25 gift to the university. Every single person who participates in our virtual race is making a difference for Westfield State students.

Can I make an additional donation to Westfield State?

Our virtual run helps spread awareness and raise funds for Westfield State’s annual day of giving but, if you are looking to maximize your contribution, please donate directly HERE.
