3rd Annual Holiday Social
On Thursday, December 6th, alumni came together to celebrate this festive season. There was a lot of catching up being done and new friendships being formed during the evening.
Urban Education 50th Anniversary Celebration
Westfield State's Urban Education Program celebrated their 50th anniversary with a successful Golden Gala. More than 200 alumnus and supporters were at the event. It was a fantastic night of celebration.
2018 Homecoming and Family Weekend
Over the weekend of October 19th, 2018, we celebrated another successful Homecoming and Family Weekend. Alumni and friends enjoyed a jam-packed weekend of entertainment and reunions as they reconnected with old friends and made some new ones.

We had a wonderful afternoon at the Wilson Creek winery with our Southern California/Arizona alums! Hosted by Craig Johns ‘91 and his wife Libby, 45+ guests visited, shared memories, drank delicious wine and even stomped a few grapes!

Dinner at Henry's Garden
On Sunday, August 26, we had our 3rd Annual Dinner at Henry's Garden - A Farm to Table Experience sponsored by the Communication Department. We enjoyed a delicious dinner al fresco to celebrate Dr. Henry Wefing and to continue to raise funds for his scholarship fund!

Owls at Yard Goats
On Saturday, August 11, we were off to Hartford to see the Yard Goats play vs Maryland Bowie. Although ultimately postponed, the 2018 Alumni Summer of Fun night at the Hartford Yard Goats was enjoyed by those in attendance! Thank you for joining us!

Alumni Sunset Cruise
On Saturday, July 14th, we sailed out of Falmouth on The Liberte for our annual Alumni Sunset Cruise. We enjoyed a lovely trip with delicious food and amazing stories from our captain. Thank you everyone for coming!

Owls and the Red Sox at Nationals Park
On Monday, July 2nd, we headed to Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. to watch the Red Sox play the Washington Nationals. Despite the incredibly brutal heat, our Owls at Nationals Park for the Red Sox event was enjoyed by all! Thank you to all who braved the heat!

10th Annual Alumni Retreat
On Saturday, June 23rd, we held the 10th Annual Alumni Retreat and spent the day discussing the past, present, and future of Westfield State. Our 10th Annual Alumni Retreat was a success because of our amazing alumni in attendance who worked hard to support our Alumni Association and our office! Thank you!

Kick-Off to Summer at Tia's
On Friday, June 1, we began our summer celebrations with a fun night and dinner. Our annual Kick-off to Summer at Tia’s on the Waterfront in Boston was a big success, and we loved seeing all of our alumni come together to celebrate the beginning of summer!
2018 Undergraduate Commencement
On Saturday, May 19, the Undergraduate Class of 2018 finished their undergraduate journeys when they received their diplomas at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield. Congratulations Class of 2018 - make us proud!
2018 Graduate Commencement
On May 17, the College of Graduate and Continuing Education hosted the Graduate Commencement Ceremony for students receiving their Master's degrees. Congratulations to the Graduate Class of 2018, we can't to see what the future holds for you!
Class of 1967 Reunion
The Class of 1967 had their 50th anniversary reunion celebration on Friday, April 20, 2018 in the beautiful Dower Center for the Performing and Fine Arts. They shared stories, reminisced about old times and reconnected.
Interfaith Center Breakfast
On Wednesday, April 11, alumni came together to celebrate at the Interfaith Center Breakfast in Scanlon Banquet Hall to listen to guest speakers and listen to the school's choir.
Criminal Justice Hall of Fame
Congratulations to our 2018 Criminal Justice Hall of Famers! 90+ alumni, family and friends gathered to honor our Criminal Justice at the 2018 CJ Alumni Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 7 in Scanlon Hall. In addition to our 9 alumni honorees, Professor John Jones received the Dr. Victor Ascolillo Lifetime Achievement Award. Please consider nominating a friend, family member or colleague for the 2019 CJ Hall of Fame
scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2019.

Owls in Florida: Ft. Lauderdale
On Saturday, March 24th, alumni enjoyed the final Florida stop for 2018, Ft. Lauderdale, where they enjoyed a late lunch at the Wild Seas Grill in the Riverside Hotel!
Owls in Florida: Sarasota
On Friday, March 23rd, the second stop on the tour was a wonderful luncheon at the Sarasota Yacht Club hosted by Michael Belle with assistance from Caren “Zinga” DePedro! Thank you, Michael, Caren and the wonderful staff at the club!

On Thursday, March 22nd, alumni came together for the first stop on the whirlwind tour of alumni events in Florida, which was a reception at the Hogan’s in Naples! Thank you for your hospitality, Susan and Bill!!
