The Westfield Fund | The Westfield Fund
is our annual fundraising appeal to provide much needed alternative
revenue to augment our shrinking state support. Only 35% of the
college’s annual operating budget now comes from state appropriations.
Westfield students and their families are left to make up the
difference with costs that have risen from $2,512 just twenty-five
years ago to what is now $13,800 a year for an in-state residential
student. While we are well positioned as the Commonwealth’s premier state college,
your support of the Westfield Fund helps us continue our commitment to
providing an accessible, high-quality education for all deserving
students.
Your donation to the Westfield Fund will be used in
the fiscal year it is received to ensure its immediate impact on the
lives of our students. The combined power of hundreds or even thousands
of “small” gifts can have a profound effect on a student’s educational
experience – let alone his or her ability to stay in school.
In addition to being able to give your gift as unrestricted annual support,
you can also choose among several specific designations that address
our highest philanthropic priorities across campus. Principal among
these are scholarship-aid, the Owl Club/Athletics, and the Library.
Please
consider giving to the Westfield Fund through our secure web-based
online donation system. On-line giving also allows you to easily
increase your annual support by spreading the payments out over the
course of the year in several smaller installments. If you prefer to
