My name is John Bartosiewicz (’09) and I am asking for your vote to the Westfield State Alumni Trustee Board. Graduating from Westfield has given me endless opportunities in life both professionally and personally and I would love to continue ensuring the educational quality and reputational integrity of the University and its academic programs while preserving and protecting institutional autonomy and academic freedom. I am confident that I can help further the goals and interests of those associated directly and indirectly across the University in this position. I hope to be given the opportunity to represent and “Give a Hoot”!

Success is founded on failure. I learned that lesson after my first semester at WSC when I was put on academic probation for a GPA of 0.67. To be the 4th son of a Harvard graduate and the first to go to college meant unnecessary heartache for my proud Dad. I'll never forget his look and it drove me to succeed. I graduated from WSC 4 years later - with a double major and close to a 3.0 GPA. The rest has been an amazing journey helping others achieve their success.

I’m a history teacher at Chicopee Comp H.S. in Chicopee, MA, I have an M.Ed. and am preparing my thesis defense for my M.A. in history.

I am running for the Alumni Trustee position, as the Board of Trustees plays a crucial role in making sure the same amazing experience I had at Westfield State continues for years to come, and also that the school continues to expand and grow. I bring 15 years of operations experience for two Fortune 5 companies, delivering solutions that have generated savings of more than $235 million. I also have a track record of creating profitable businesses. Additional, a history of generating substantial membership revenue over 5 years in the non-profit sector. Most importantly, Westfield State will always be home to me.
Chris Montemayor '90, M'09
My name is Chris Montemayor, I am the Senior Vice President for the Rental Assistance Programs at Way Finders. My years at Westfield were filled with great opportunities. I was a member of the Urban Education Program, played on the Men’s Basketball Team, and participated in the Minority Business Leadership Internship Program. My professional experience in strategic planning, managerial leadership, and communication make me a strong candidate for this opportunity.
In this role, I plan to promote the mission of the alumni association, support the student experience, and build relationships within our community.
I ask for your support to be elected to the Board of Trustees as your alumni representative.
