Dr Jillian McNiff Villemaire, '02, was awarded the North American Society for Sport Management Educator for the year 2025

Westfield State Alumni Dr Jillian McNiff Villemaire, '02, has been awarded the North American Society for Sport Management Educator for the year 2025, an award that is presented to those who excel in contributing to teaching, researching, and leadership in sports management. Dr McNiff Villemaire, who graduated from Westfield State University as a movement science major, continued her education, earning a master's and her Ed.D., and is currently teaching as a professor at Flagler College in Florida. Dr. McNiff Villemaire teaches a battery of courses in the Department of Hospitality, Tourism, and Sport Management.

Dr. McNiff Villemaire also had an early interest in the marketing behind sports management, where he worked for Boston University's Fitness and Recreation Center and for the New England Patriots, New England Revolution, and Gillette Stadium, an impressive lineup of New England giants. Dr. McNiff Villemaire also has a fantastic lineup of her own research and presentations on various topics in sports medicine, showing why there was no question that she was an outstanding recipient of the North American Society for Sport Management Educator of the Year award.
