How to Enter for Prizes

By Social Media

• Post a photo of yourself and a screenshot of your time and distance (from any running or health app). Using the hashtag: #OwlRun5K. 
• Your social media account or post must be set to public for your prize submission to be received.        

By Email

• Submit your photo and a screenshot of your time and distance to Annualgiving@westfield.ma.edu. 
• Prize submissions must be received by 3PM on Saturday, 10/17. 

NOTE: All photos shared with the #OwlRun5K, or by email, may be shared on Westfield social media.

In 2018, the Last Mile scholarship fund was established to help students who are within six credits of graduation and just need a bit of financial assistance to get over the finish line.

The scholarship committee works with the Office of Financial Aid and the Office of Retention and Engagement to determine the best candidates to receive these funds.

“I wouldn’t be able to say that I am a graduate of Westfield State University without that scholarship,” says Manuel Gonzalez, a 2018 graduate who earned a BS in Business Management.

Current Washington Capitals head coach Peter Laviolette is a 1986 graduate of Westfield State and was a four-year member of the Owls hockey team, who helped lead the first Blueliners campaign.  Laviolette has already lent his support to the new fundraising effort.
