2025 Criminal Justice Hall of Fame Inductee, Greg Hennick '07, promoted to Chief of Police in Provincetown

Westfield State University alum Greg Hennick '07 has recently been appointed the new Police Chief in Provincetown, MA. However, this is not Hennick's only significant achievement; he was honored as one of the seven inductees into Westfield State University's Criminal Justice Hall of Fame in April.

Hennick graduated from Westfield State in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Still, his education did not stop there, as he is working toward his second master's degree from additional universities. Hennick has an extensive career, having worked in many different areas, such as a regional SWAT operator, motor officer, firearms instructor, academy staff instructor, and field training officer. Hennick also, in 2013, as a member of the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council, deemed CCRLEC regional SWAT team, provided support in the search for the missing suspect as part of the Boston Bombing case, one that hit close to home for many. Hennick was also one of the rare 1% of all senior-level law enforcement officers chosen for the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. Hennick also has a long history of returning to campus, meeting with students, and helping them prepare for future law enforcement positions.

Congratulations on the promotion, Chief Hennick, and thank you for your continued protection and service!
