Dr. Seth Gemme '07 was named as one of Business West’s 40 under 40, Class of 2023.

Alumnus Dr. Seth Gemme '07 is the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for Emergency Medicine at 
Baystate Medical Center and was named as one of Business West’s 40 under 40, Class of 2023. Seth has had a wide variety of experiences to get him to where he is today. Becoming an EMT, brought him into the ER at Baystate Noble, which eventually led to a job there, leading him to develop a fondness for the ER and the desire to be a doctor in that setting … which led him to the University of Buffalo Medical School, where he graduated first in his class.  

He then began residency at Brown University, and — here we can fast-forward a little — eventually Gemme returned to Western Mass and to Baystate Noble Hospital, then becoming Chief of the Emergency Department at Baystate Wing Hospital, leading him to his current role as vice chair of Clinical Operations in the ED at Baystate Medical Center. 

“I like helping people at their most vulnerable time, and hopefully being someone who can change a life,” said Gemme.  

In addition to his work in the Baystate ED, Seth is also one of the team physicians for the Springfield Thunderbirds and a board member for Hilltown Ambulance.
