Tessa Lucey, '89, has been officially appointed to the Westfield State University board of trustees, filling the vacant spot left by Trustee Chairman Robert Martin. This appointment, a testament to her qualifications and the trust placed in her, was made by Mass Governor Maura Healey. Trustees serve a five-year term, with the opportunity for an additional five-year term.
Lucey brings over 20 years of experience as a compliance officer and previously served as the director of Compliance Services and chief privacy officer at the University of Vermont. She expressed her excitement about returning to Westfield State University as a trustee, stating, "Returning to Westfield State University as a trustee fills me with immense pride... WSU provided me with the knowledge and skills to succeed in my career and a solid foundation to succeed in life." Lucey earned her bachelor's degree in business with minors in psychology and women's studies. Westfield State President Dr. Linda Thompson also expressed gratitude for having this accomplished alumna return to her alma mater. Congratulations Tessa!
