Westfield State alum Matthew Kosiorek, '08, was featured in Berkshire Community College's "Forty Under Forty"

Westfield State alum Matthew Kosiorek, '08, was featured on Berkshire Community College's "Forty Under Forty" list and is celebrated for his work with the College Internship Program (CIP). The forty under forty list, created by Berkshire College, that highlights people in the Berkshires who are making a difference in the community, and this year, alums Kosiorek found himself on the list for his work as Director of the College Internship Program.  

This program supports individuals on the autism spectrum as they transition to college, secure internships, and take steps toward independent living.  Kosiorek has been recognized for empowering students within the neurodivergent community during these critical life transitions.  

Kosiorek stated, "I have dedicated my career over the past 14 years to empowering neurodivergent individuals and positively impacting our Berkshire community, including students, families, staff, and community members." Kosiorek takes great pride in his work, but his service extends beyond his professional role. He also volunteers as a youth basketball and soccer coach, is a member of the Lee Chamber of Commerce, and participates in fundraising for local organizations by running events through the BRF.
