Stephanie Bacon, who graduated from Westfield State University with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Regional Planning, has a fascinating work history. After college, she began working at an engineering company but soon decided to start her own company with a colleague. Following that, she was invited to take a part-time position as the Health Director in Barre, MA, where she worked for about six years. Reflecting on her time in Barre, Stephanie said, "I just loved it. I loved every part because it was so diverse—everything from food inspections to working with the public and collaborating with other departments on septic inspections."
While working in Barre, she also volunteered in Rutland and served on their Planning Board as a member of the By-law Subcommittee and the Conservation Commission. In 2015, while working as Northborough's Health Director, she was elected to the Board of Selectmen. Stephanie's journey continued when, in 2018, she earned her master's degree while serving as the Assistant Town Manager in Holden for seven years.
However, Stephanie has recently returned to Northborough, where she was appointed Town Administrator. From earning her master's degree to building an impressive career, Stephanie has accomplished so much!
