Conversation with Howard Bryant, author of Full Dissidence: Notes from an Uneven Playing Field (Beacon Press, 2020) and senior writer for ESPN

Bryant will offer reflections about race and racism in our current moment, drawing on insights from his new collection of essays, Full Dissidence: Notes from an Uneven Playing Field, which Ibram X. Kendi has praised as "a searing rejection of everything racist America holds dear inside and outside the lines."  As a longtime senior writer at ESPN and author of several books about race and sports, Bryant will also engage with the audience in a conversation about sports today, especially during the pandemic and this time of the nation's racial reckoning.
