Calnan ‘80 installed as VFW Post 7272 Commander in Bellingham, MA
Alumnus Kevin Calnan ‘80 was recently installed as the VFW Post 7272 Commander in Bellingham, MA. Calnan gained his bachelor's in criminal justice from WSC and went on to join the U.S. Army. His career included duty overseas. In 1981, he joined the Boston Metro Police and after a thirty-eight-year career he retired as a lieutenant from the Massachusetts State Police.
In retirement, Calnan is deeply involved with a charitable foundation that helps families who have children with cancer. “We’ve dispensed $5 million to families,” he says, “often in $5,000 increments.” The foundation is “Cops for Kids with Cancer.”
