Crawford ‘12 tells the story of Billy C's honey, also known as New England Apiaries, LLC.

Alumni William “Billy” Crawford ‘12 is the founder and owner of Billy C's honey, also known as New England Apiaries, LLC. Crawford participated in the “College for Kids” program at Westfield State University encouraging his interest in the 6-legged insects. That year he received a beehive kit, a colony of bees, and a seat in a bee keeping class. This was the beginning of what is now known as New England Apiaries, LLC. New England Apiaries is roughly 1,500 colonies are geared towards the pollination of crops. A significant amount of time goes into producing Local raw home in the months of May and June. In addition to honey production and pollination services, New England Apiaries sell both packaged bees and small starter colonies as a hobby and sideline beekeepers so they may start or replace their own colonies.
