Alumna Nancy MacLeod Eckert ‘83 was recently inducted into the Methuen High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Eckert graduated in 1979 and was a three-sport athlete, participating in field hockey, basketball, and softball. In her time on the field hockey team, she received the Field Hockey Coaches Award in 1977 and Most Valuable Offensive Player in 1978. When on the basketball team she was an Eagle-Tribune All-Star and member of the Invitational All-Tournament Team, Merrimack Valley Conference All-Star, and team Most Valuable Player Award for the 1978-79 seasons. In her athletic career she was a member of six Merrimack Valley Conference championship teams. After her athletic career at Methuen High School, Eckert played at the colligate level on the field hockey team at Westfield State University.
