Honoring Veteran and Alumni, Jason Laber '97

Jason Laber '97 is a Barnstable Police Department (BPD) sergeant and lieutenant commander in the Navy Reserve. He is also a veteran with 23 years of military service. 

In 1992, he enrolled in Westfield State’s Criminal Justice program and joined the National Guard. In the early ‘90s, he attended flight school, flew surveillance over the Berlin Wall after its demolition, and served in Desert Storm. He joined the Navy Reserve in 2005 and was deployed to Afghanistan for 18 months.

Laber is now an information warfare officer serving alongside 35 other veterans at BPD.
