Alumna Jody Kasper '96 G'01 and '06 was recently announced as the new Chief of Police in Nantucket. Previously, Kasper served 25 years in the Northampton Police Department, 9 of those years as the Chief of Police. Kasper was the first woman to hold the rank as Chief of Police in the city of Northampton. She has received numerous accolades and awards over her career, including being named Woman Law Enforcement Executive of The Year by the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives in 2021, and a distinguished alum award from Greenfield Community College in 2017.
