Melissa English ’01 and Tim Provost ’02 have recently been promoted at MP CPAs in Springfield, Massachusetts. English was promoted to senior audit manager and Provost was promoted to senior tax manager.
English works with clients from many different industries from nonprofits to manufacturers. She is the lead professional for the firm’s employee benefit-plan practice. She conducts technical reviews of employee benefit-plan audits and assists with research on plan issues. She has worked on Internal Revenue Service examinations, voluntary plan corrections, and self-corrections of plan errors.
English has over 20 years of audit experience and has worked at MP CPAs since 2001. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center.
English earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Westfield State in 2001. She is very active in the community as a volunteer board member of the Down Syndrome Resource Group of Western Massachusetts and the Chicopee Galaxy Youth Athletic Association, of which she is also a co-founder.
Tim Provost offers consulting and tax solutions to clients including individuals to corporations and trusts. He has experience working with international affiliates on foreign tax issues and specializes in working with high-net-worth clients and with private equity firms.
He has over 13 years of experience in personal and business taxation and has been with the firm since 2008. He is a certified public accountant and a member of AICPA.
Provost earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Westfield State in 2002 and a master’s degree in accounting and taxation from American International College. An active member of the community, he is a volunteer board member of the West Springfield Youth Basketball Association and a volunteer youth basketball coach.
