Michael F. Hogan ’85 Nominated as Clerk Magistrate of Lynn District Court

Governor Charlie Baker recently announced the nomination of Assistant Clerk Magistrate of the Malden District Court, Michael F. Hogan ’85, as Clerk Magistrate of the Lynn District Court. 

“Attorney Hogan’s unique perspective and experience in public service and criminal justice makes him well-qualified to serve as Clerk Magistrate,” Baker said in a statement. “I am pleased to submit his nomination to the Governor’s Council for their advice and consent.” 

Hogan has extensive experience in law and policing. He has been a practicing attorney for 22 years. He also served with the Massachusetts State Police for 25 years, retiring in 2010 as a Sergeant.  

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Westfield State in 1985 and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1998.
