Roberta Brien ’94 Featured in Power 50 Class of 2021

Roberta Brien ’94 was recently featured as one of Worcester Business Journal’s Power 50, Class of 2021. Brien is Vice President of Projects at Worcester Business Development Corp., where she oversees projects. WBDC works behind the scenes to develop projects in the Greater Worcester area. They prep properties for development, connect the right people, secure local and state incentives, work with utilities, and more.

Brien is also on the Worcester Economic Development Coordinating Council, a group of city and business officials who plan development. Two exciting new projects include The Reactory, a biomanufacturing complex with $500 million in development potential, and a long-awaited revitalization of the former Draper Mill in Hopedale.

“Central Massachusetts could lead Massachusetts in a coordinated effort to develop a strong, regional economy,” said Brien.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Regional Planning from Westfield State University in 1994.
