Susan Henrichon ’86 Named Dean, School of Education, AIC

Susan Henrichon, Ed.D., has been appointed dean of the School of Education at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, Massachusetts.  

Henrichon began her career at AIC in 2018, bringing over 30 years of experience in public education to the college. She has served in senior leadership positions for over 15 years.  

Her most recent role includes serving as the associate dean of academic programs while also teaching in the School of Education and serving as a senior instructor and program supervisor for graduate students. 

Previously, Henrichon served as assistant superintendent of schools in Oxford and as director of Special Education and Student Services for the Oxford Public Schools.  

Henrichon's work has earned recognition from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. She is a member of the Massachusetts Assoc. of School Superintendents, the Worcester County Superintendents Assoc., Massachusetts Administrators for Special Education, the Western Massachusetts Special Education Directors Assoc., the Assoc. for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the Council for Exceptional Children. 

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Plymouth State University, a master’s degree in education and special education from Westfield State University, a certificate of advanced graduate studies in educational administration from the University of Massachusetts, and a Doctor of Education degree in educational administration from Northcentral University.
