Owls Helping Owls: #GivingTuesday Raises Nearly $4,000 for the Student Emergency Fund

On Tuesday, December 1, alumni, corporate partners, faculty, staff, and friends of the University raised nearly $4,000 as part of #GivingTuesday, a national day of generosity and an opportunity to make a positive impact on WSU students in need.

Due to these gifts, the Student Emergency Fund can continue to provide support and resources to meet the essential needs of students who may not have parents or champions to assist them during these challenging times.

Donations to the Student Emergency Fund continue to be accepted. If you're interested in making a donation, please click here.

“COVID-19 turned our world upside down,” said Iris Roman-Muñoz ’20, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish in May. “I can’t imagine how my semester would have ended if I hadn’t received this support. They saved me and prevented me from worrying about not having food or access to personal care items.”
