Give Us An Assist: Support the Hockey Locker Room Project Today

Following a license agreement with Amelia Park Arena in Westfield, Westfield State Athletics has announced a campaign to outfit a new dedicated locker room for the Owls’ varsity ice hockey program.

In collaboration with Westfield State Athletics and the Westfield State Foundation, Westfield State hockey alumnus Peter Laviolette helped spearhead this fundraising campaign and is looking to get as many alumni involved as possible.

"We’ve had a good response so far, but need your help to get us closer to our goal and to make this project a reality," said Laviolette.

As a past player, as well as current head coach for the Washington Capitals, Laviolette says there’s nothing like having a locker room.

"A locker room is a sense of home and a sense of identity for the team to come in and be a part of together. Not only to help the players who are on the team currently, but a tremendous recruiting tool for incoming players," he said.

Alumni and friends are encouraged to learn more about the campaign here.
