2026 WSAA Executive Council Elections

I would like to be a part of discussions and making changes at WSU.

When I was a student at Westfield State, I took full advantage of the many opportunities made available to me both in and out of class. As a result I was able to earn two degrees, one in Criminal Justice and one in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration, and two minors, one in English and another in Policy and Ethics. I was also able to participate in so many extracurricular activities including but far from limited to governance, student conduct, research as well as creative activities, and even clubs. Westfield State was formative to who I am as a person and led me down my current path through law school and now as a prosecutor in Norfolk County. So much of who I am today is attributable to my time at Westfield State. I believe that I would be a valued addition to the WSAA Executive Council not only because of my knowledge stemming from numerous and various experiences at Westfield State but because of how much I have learned as well as grown in my days since.

Westfield State University helped shape the husband, father, coach, volunteer, leader and person I am today. Professionally I have worked in operational leadership roles within the waste management field for the last 14 years. About 2 years ago my work life balance shifted and afforded me more time to get involved in my community. I serve on the board of directors for the Watertown Boys and Girls Club, am co president of the Hosmer PTO and vice president of Watertown Youth Hockey. I am interested in the opportunity to volunteer and serve on the WSAA.

1993 graduate of WSC. Played with the mens basketball team(2) seasons. Was a Urban Ed Program participant and served as President of the Third World Organization. Also helped establish the Joan E. Fuller scholarship foundation along with 1995 graduate Tyrone Abrahamian.

I am honored to submit my nomination for the Westfield State Alumni Council. As a proud alumna, my professional journey and community work have been deeply rooted in the values of service, equity, and leadership that Westfield State instilled in me. Currently serving as a Senior Administrator of Student Support & Services, I oversee comprehensive mental health and special education programming across multiple schools. My work focuses on building inclusive systems that support students with diverse needs, ensuring access, dignity, and opportunity for all learners. Beyond my professional role, I am deeply committed to community engagement and service. I have led and supported several initiatives aimed at addressing basic needs and promoting inclusion, including:•Organizing a prom dress drive to ensure underserved youth can fully participate in milestone experiences •Coordinating a food drive during a federal benefits gap, supporting families facing food insecurity •Leading a diaper drive for low-income mothers, recognizing the critical needs of early childhood care •Designing and implementing school-wide inclusion initiatives for Mental Health Awareness Month and Autism Awareness Month, fostering understanding, empathy, and belonging across school communities. These efforts reflect my belief that leadership extends beyond systems—it lives in how we show up for others. As a member of the Westfield State Alumni Council, I would bring a strong commitment to uplifting alumni voices, strengthening community partnerships, and expanding opportunities for future generations of students. I am particularly passionate about creating pathways for alumni engagement in public service, education, and mental health advocacy. Westfield State played a foundational role in shaping who I am as a leader. It would be a privilege to give back in a meaningful way by serving on the Alumni Council.

Since graduating from WSU in 1998, I have spent nearly 30 years working at the intersection of marketing, fundraising, and mission driven leadership, supporting causes I care deeply about including early childhood education, environmental conservation, and volunteerism. Over half of my career has been in national and global leadership roles—currently in my second tenure as a Chief Marketing Officer—where I have partnered closely with boards of directors and executive teams to set organizational strategy, lead and develop teams, and drive revenue growth to sustain and scale impact. I feel strongly that now is the right time to give back. Westfield helped lay the foundation for who I am today, and I would be honored to serve on the Alumni Association board, contributing my experience and perspective to strengthen alumni engagement and help future graduates discover the same sense of purpose and direction that has shaped my own journey.
